Olio Sardegna S.r.l., is located in Sardinia, an island placet in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, an ideal area for extra virgin olive oil production. Centuries before the Mediterranean diet became fashionable all over the industrialised world, olive oil was already a staple food for Sardinians.
Bosana, Semidana, Terza, Tonda and Nera are the names of Sardinia’s local olive varieties.
Olio Sardegna S.r.l. uses only olives from Sardinia that give flavourful and fruity extra virgin olive oils, rich in antioxidants.
The quality of the oil is obtained thank to the efforts which we have undertaken to improve the production process.
In our mill, olives are cold pressed within a few hours from harvesting using a gentle Sinolea extraction method. As in the making of white wine, it is important to lose as little as possible between the picking and pressing of olives. Twenty-four hours is the optimum time between the processes.
Sinolea method peculiar feature is to guarantee products of great value; extra virgin oils of superior quality obtained trough a natural cold dripping. Sinolea method exalts extra virgin oil organoleptic feature and at the same time it guarantees the highest contents of natural antioxidant and quality specific components.
Today, the new production plant of company Olio Sardegna incorporates all the phases from the extraction til the bottling, the packingm and the selling.
The protective action developed by hte substances present into the Cutivar Bosana are ready, after a period of preservation in dark and climatized chambers, to be used for many kind of dishes.
Our products are:
“ Gocce di Coros”, extra virgin olive oil with a smell of green olives with a plait of thistle and fresh vegetables, perfect for fish soups, white meat and as a condiment for fresh salads.
“Coros”, an extra virgin olive oil, with a smell of green olives with plait of unripe fruits and almonds, which is perfect with red roasted meat, soups and sauces.
