Elena Sai artistic pottery

The idea of a workshop intended to produce inique art pieces, comes from the need to practice the own art skills, which have been refined at the Accademia delle Belle Arti in Sassari, and the desire to offer to visitors and tourists original products with the decorative characteristics of monuments of the area (San Pietro di Sorres, Saccargia), of the different places (archaelogical sites) and of the the local handcraft.
The workshop was established in 2003 but the activity actually started in January 2004. It is located in the historical centre of Borutta, a small village in the Province of Sassari, with 350 inhabitants, which is known due to the romanesque-pisan style basilica od San Pietro di Sorres. Elena Sai, the artist, produces unique decorative pieces of pottery, such as pots, plates, tiles, lamps, chandeliers, pendants, and various gift and fancy goods.
