Giovanna Caterina Lisai’s bakery was established in 2001, thanks to the regional law 37, as a family business.
The firm is specialized in producing “pane fresa”, a typical round shaped, crisp, thin bread, whose production methods have been handed down for a long time.
The “Pane Fresa” has always been an essential food for the daily feeding of local people, and it can be stored for long periods without loosing its freshness and genuineness.
It can keep for a long time its fragrance, scent and taste as it were just baked, thanks to both the particular processing and, mostly, the double baking.
The basic ingredients are: durum wheat, salt, water and yeast. The baking in a wood-burning oven, with oak and oleaster wood, gives it a particular taste which makes it exclusive on the market.
The “Pane fresa” can be enjoyed either dry or wet, alone or with different meals (including breakfast). One of its peculiarity is the high digestibility.
